The immune system protects us from thousands of germs that are around us and can indicate disease. Here are some simple ways that will help us to strengthen our immune system and improve our defences against diseases.

Limit alcohol

One of the easiest ways to help our immune system and to prevent the development of diseases, is regular washing of our hands.  Be sure to use soap and clean water to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds each time. If you don’t have access to soap and water, use a wet hand tissue containing at least 60% alcohol.
